RIBA 2010 Award Winners
The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) had announced 102 buildings that were awarded for the 2010 Awards. These buildings, 93 sprawled across the UK and 9 in the rest of the EU, include 6 which were nominated for the Stirling Prize. The awarded projects included a small circular bathroom for bus drivers in London, an art museum in Berlin, a zero-carbon house, and even an energy substation for the 2012 Olympics. Above images are the RIBA Awards this year in the category of public spaces which included pavilions and monuments.

Diller Scofidio + Renfro Win Museum Competition At Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana
Seven of the largest architecture firms in Brazil and the world have participated in the contest, including Brazilian practices Bernardes & Jacobsen (1st image), Isay Weinfeld (2nd image), Brasil Arquitetura (3rd image), and Tacoa Arquitetos (4th image)and international players Diller Scofidio + Renfro (USA), Daniel Libeskind (USA), and Shigeru Ban (Japan).
LAST image is the winner of the competition for the new Museum of Image and Sound (MIS) on Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro‘s postcard beach. New York-based firm Diller Scofidio + Renfro. The new Museum of Image and Sound will occupy 4,500 m2 (48,500 sf) with rooms for permanent and temporary exhibitions, facilities for research, a panoramic restaurant, an open-air auditorium and others. Construction will take two and a half years.

D - Animal Shelter is design to change people's views of those dirty animal shelter...Who thinks about animals during Natural Disasters?
My Shelter design is basically a space for animals whose homes have been destroyed or have been injured, to live temporarily and be rehabilitated.
A space for animals to relax and let go the trauma of what its been through :)
